SoccerShares is a fantasy share trading game built around major football tournaments, available as a beta app for iPhone and Android. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
What data we collect
- Email address (used to create and identify your account)
- Display name (shown on leaderboards and to other players in your leagues)
- Game activity (match predictions, share trades, league participation, comments)
- Push notification token (used to send game updates to your device, only collected if you grant notification permission)
- Device type (iOS or Android, used to deliver push notifications correctly)
How we use your data
- To run the game and maintain your account across sessions
- To show leaderboards and league standings to other players in your leagues
- To send push notifications about game updates — including when the market opens or closes, and when your scores are updated — if you have opted in on your device
- To send a daily email after the game is recalculated, showing your updated score and portfolio
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- We do not use your data for advertising purposes
- We do not share your data outside of SoccerShares
Beta program
The SoccerShares app is currently in beta testing for iPhone (via Apple TestFlight) and Android (via Google Play). As a beta user you may encounter bugs or incomplete features. By participating you agree that your game data may be used to improve the app.
Data storage
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (supabase.com), hosted in the European Union.
Push notifications
If you grant notification permission, your device's push token is stored and used solely to deliver SoccerShares game notifications. You can withdraw permission at any time in your device settings, which will stop future notifications.
Email communications
You will receive a daily email after each game recalculation with your updated score and portfolio summary. You can unsubscribe from these emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at info@soccershares.nl. We will respond within 30 days.
